Principal’s Message

Dear Students,

Parents and Well-wishers, I begin by congratulating all the students who appeared for the ICSE and ISE board examinations. Overall, the results have been exceptional and you all have done your school proud. I would also like to make a mention of Sasha Agarwal and Rajit Banerjee for their ranking in the board examinations and Shubhaditya Basu for WBJEE 2018 .You have all proved that a holistic approach to education is a good model for students and futuristic as well. In school, we emphasize on ten distinct skills that need to be honed to meet the challenges. Below are the ten factors which are gaining global acceptance:

  • Complex problem solving skills
  • Critical thinking.
  • Creativity.
  • People management.
  • Coordinating with others
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Judgement and decision making.
  • Service orientation
  • Negotiation
  • Cognitive flexibility.

We want our students to be “future ready”. In the World Economic Summit at Davos, the main focus was on the Future of Education in the age of Artificial Intelligence. (AI) While artificial intelligence to an extent can provide the critical solutions, it is likely to ignore the human factor. This is where human intelligence comes in. This is what you all must be prepared for. It will involve all your creativity and logical reasoning powers to analyze this situation and bring forth solution which will benefit mankind.

I can assure you that our school is considering developing methods which help our students to meet the coming challenges.

Warm Regards
John Andrew Bagul
