The Jolliest Time of the Year

On the 25th of December,
The festive season fills the air.
With the birth of Jesus Christ himself,
Sent from the heavens itself.

But that is not the only reason
why it is the most popular time of the season.
It is also that time of the year,
When children shout out, "Santa Claus is here!"

Santa Claus gives them presents,
As per their expectations.
It also depends on their behaviour,
Whether or not they receive gifts this year.

To give presents, Santa descends from the chimney.
In the morning the children are full of glee.
The world is full of holiday cheer,
As it is the jolliest time of the year.
