Restart - A Second Chance

“February, when the days of winter seem endless and no amount of wistful recollecting can bring back any air of summer.” - Shirley Jackson

Truly said Mrs. Jackson, no one has ever achieved proper fitness with a January resolution that has been abandoned by February. Most consider February as a dull month but propelled by a swell of self-assurance, I confidently declare that it signifies a second opportunity.

Honestly Speaking, February Is a Very Generous Offer Provided to Us by Life and It Is Totally Upto Us if We Want to Take Advantage of This or Take It on with a ‘Let-It-Be’ Attitude. February, Which in Roman Means Mensis Februarius, Upholds the Essence of Purification. Well, the Romans Pointed It Out First but They Were Right, Weren’t They? We Should Not Sit and Mourn for Our Deeds and the Decisions We Had Taken or Could Have Taken in the Previous Year or Month. As Rightly Pointed Out by Nelson Mandela “Man Never Loses, He either Wins or Learns.” Sometimes, It’s the Learning Part. Knowledge Is All around Us and Believe Me Most of It Is Free. Mother Nature Is the Greatest Teacher of Them All! Just Take a Little Precious Time off Your Mundane Schedule and Look At the World around You. Do the Birds Ever Cry or Do They Ever Complain When Their Hard-Earned Nests Are Destroyed by Man? I Can Affirm That They Do Only One Thing, That Is, They Move-on. They Forgive and Forget at the Same Time and That Is Their Biggest Counter-Strategy to This Mental Man-Made Barrier.

Look at the trees around you, they shed their leaves every year yet they are persistent in their preparation of growing leaves again. The haughty trunk of the mighty tree stands tall. Think of the trunk as your mind and think of all the branches as life’s main duties. When all Its leaves, all its wants have faded away, does he ignore the branches and throw them away as well? He doesn’t. When we ignore our life’s main duties and prune them away, doesn’t Mother Nature punish us with all those earthquakes and storms? Whether it is the mistake of one or all, everyone related to the person suffers.

Taking on the shortest month of the year and yet the longest, we should have only one motto which drives us forward — ‘Restart’ and ‘Resurrect’. Who knows what is in store for us but with this thought in mind, we can easily traverse through all the boundaries of life and pave our way to success.
