Summer

Summer is my favourite season. I like it because it is the mango season, and mango is my favourite fruit. There are many water parks that open in the Summer Season. During Summer, we also have fun at the swimming pool. We can also go to beaches such as Digha and Puri. During my Summer vacation, I get to meet my cute little cousin, Ema. Sometimes I read her a book, play ‘catch’ with her, and give her a ride on her toy scooter. She lives in Solan (Himachal Pradesh) with my aunt and grandparents. I go to Solan every Summer to spend my vacations. It is a pleasant place and sometimes a little cold even in summer. A little distance away from my grandmother’s house is a children’s park where I go and play. There are also railway tracks nearby on which the Kalka-Shimla Toy Train runs. Whenever the toy train passes, I hear the loud honk and I have to cover my ears. However, I still love to spend my summer holidays in Solan because I get to meet all my relatives and cousins.
