She sees a sky once painted dark and grey, Where shadows danced and hope seemed far away. A canvas stretched with chains of old decree, But now, a brushstroke of freedom she can see. she steps beyond the lines, her spirits flight. A flicker in the dawn, a glimmer of light. Tough storms may gather and thunder still reside. Her heart beats stronger, a woman's tide.
He stands upon a hill, once steep and bare, Where echoes of oppression filled the air. A path now rises, though stones still may impede, A journey forward, where dreams can truly seed. His shoulders broaden, with purpose newly found, A voice that echoes, no longer underground. The world may challenge, with doubt and stern command, But in his stride, a liberated man.
Together they look out, a shared horizon's gleam Where hope and promise merge, a collective dream, Not yet a perfect world, imperfections still reside, But in their hearts, a flame of freedom's tide. They'll climb the heights and bridge the chasm deep, For in their spirits, courage will forever keep. Though battles yet remain and victories to earn, Their footsteps forward, a future's bright concern.
Hand in hand, they'll walk this winding road, Towards a future where equality has its Elysian abode.
